The Sacramento Taco Festival
TACOS! TACOS! TACOS! It's all about the TACOS! Join us for a fun filled day featuring continuous entertainment, arts/crafts, contests and competitions!
“Everybody loves a taco” - Many major cities across the nation are now celebrating this traditional Mexican food in ways that promotes culture, communities and the increased tourism.
Sacramento has joined the excitement of celebrating this popular and wonderful food through the collaborative efforts of City Council Member Allen W. Warren, the North Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, the Del Paso Boulevard Partnership, and POP-9 Communications.
The Sacramento Taco Festival is the major annual fundraiser for the Vida de Oro Foundation, a non-profit Public Benefit - 501(c) (3) organization (Fed ID 46-2304644) dedicated in developing and promoting the arts. Established in 2008, Vida de Oro has conducted arts classes, folk art festivals, film screenings, lectures, recognition receptions and art presentations. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
Sacramento is centrally located in Northern California with a growing number of fun and very nice eating establishments adding to the city’s overall tourist attraction as California’s State Capitol. A festival celebrating the Taco will enhance its national and international destination, contributing to the local economy through vendor sales, temporary employment, and hotel room sales. Plus, it will attract large crowds to other local establishments, including the Arden Fair Mall.
CHALLENGE YOURSELF!! If you believe you have what it takes to compete, whether it's through cooking or eating, join the fun and register either as a food vendor or in any of the competitions being held.
In the following pages you will find more details about The Sacramento Taco Festival and the many opportunities for fun and entertainment that it offers. BE SURE TO JOIN US!
